Lisa Hollander | |||
Master of Arts: Columbia University (New York) Professor Lisa Hollander holds a BA in English from the University of Denver, a diploma in International and Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, an MA from Columbia University in New York, and has completed coursework for a PhD in History. Ms. Hollander teaches courses in three disciplines: Geography, History, and Political Science. Professor Hollander has taught at Jefferson since 1997, and, in that time, she has earned the Student Senate Faculty Member of the Year award, the Governor`s Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Linda Johnston Assessment Award, Jefferson College`s Foundation Faculty of the Year award, and the Missouri Community College Association`s Global Educator of the Year award. Deeply committed to bringing international issues into the Missouri community college curriculum, Ms. Hollander serves on the Diversity Committee and the Global Education Subcommittee and acts as Coordinator of the Global Studies Program. Born in Zimbabwe, Ms. Hollander has lived in a multitude of countries in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, and has lived in six different states of the United States. In her spare time, she collects history books and travels as much as possible. |
