He earned his Bachelor`s and Master`s Degrees from Truman State University and his Ph.D. from Saint Louis University. Dr. Boning taught high school for nearly a decade and holds certificates in secondary teaching and principalship. |
Brandon Whittington | |||
Doctor of Philosophy: Univ Of Missouri - St Louis Brandon Whittington earned an A.A. from Rend Lake College, a B.A. from Greenville College, an M.A. from Eastern Illinois University, and both Ed.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Dr. Whittington is a nationally certified psychologist and a licensed professional counselor in the state of Missouri. Prior to joining the faculty at Jefferson College, Dr. Whittingon practiced as a school psychologist and a professional counselor in several public school districts and community mental health settings. Dr. Whittington`s research interests include the psychology of religion and the scholarship of teaching and learning. He regularly presents his work at local and national conferences and involves Jefferson College students in the research process, both as participants and student researchers. |

Master of Science in Education: Southern Illinois - Carbondale Nicole Aden, M.Ed., is a 20+ year veteran educator with a variety of experiences & expertise. She has served as a classroom teacher in public & parochial schools. At Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Nicole taught for the Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the Teacher Education Program for Early Childhood Educators. Other experiences in the field include Early Childhood Special Education Instructor at Tri-County Special Education in Murphysboro, IL, Instructor & Disabilities Specialist at SIUC Head Start, & QMHP Youth Counselor at Family Counseling Services in Vienna, IL. Nicole served as director at Anna Heights Early Learning Center, where she is also credited for the planning & start up work prior to opening the center. During her Master of Science degree program, Nicole`s thesis, The Wonders and Blunders of Word Walls in Early Childhood Education, was accepted for publishing by the Journal of Early Childhood & Family Review. An additional experience in the field of education in which Nicole participated was a Group Study Exchange sponsored by Rotary International, where she studied various public and private schools in the Eastern Anglia area of England, as well as Cambridge University. This experience was an incredible opportunity to learn about educational settings & procedures throughout the world. In her current role at Jefferson College Area Technical School, Nicole teaches courses in the Field of Early Childhood Education. Master of Science in Education: Southwest Baptist University Tamela joined the teaching staff at Jefferson College in 2009. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri Baptist University here at the Jeffco campus, and her Masters of Education from Southwest Missouri Baptist University. Ms. Reaves taught 1st and 5th grades in private education for more than 15 years and taught 6th grade in the public school system for 4 years. Tamela became coordinator of the College Studies courses in 2013. She has served on the Curriculum Committee and currently serves on the Student Learning and Support Committee. |
