Course Description
RNR 220 Ped & High Risk OB Nursing Cli
|
Prerequisites: Admission into the Jefferson College RN Program and current undisciplined LPN license in the state of Missouri (with IV certification) or successful completion of the NCLEX PN by the end of December (in the first semester RN program) and reading proficiency.
Corequisites: RNR210 and RNR230.
Pediatric and High Risk Obstetrical (OB) Nursing explores the role of the professional registered nurse in the care of pediatric and high risk OB clients. Students acquire knowledge and skills in meeting the nursing needs of these patient population groups who present with alterations in specific body systems. In addition, students are required to critically think and problem-solve presenting situations by examining the evidence, considering the assumptions, establishing priorities, and evaluating nursing interventions and care regarding patient presentations.
