Survey of Art I is a broad survey of the visual arts from the Paleolithic Age, the ancient Near East, Greece, and Rome to the Middle Ages. This course emphasizes the historic, social, and intellectual background of the artistic and architectural masterpieces that comprise the cultural heritage of early western civilization.
