Course Description
Prerequisites: PNE163 with a grade of "B" or better and reading proficiency
Pharmacology II is the second of two (2) courses presenting basic principles of pharmacodynamics while the student learns principles of pharmacodynamics utilized when administering commonly prescribed drugs in the clinical setting. Major drug classifications are introduced as well as usual and idiosyncratic effects and precautions with administration. Pharmacologic topics covered include drugs affecting the integumentary, musculoskeletal, renal, neurological, sensory, gastrointestinal, endocrine (including diabetes), and male/female reproductive systems.
